On Wednesday 11th of January 2020 we visited the Pieksämäen Lehti's office. There we met the editor in chief Kari-Pekka Issakainen and a few of the journalists of the newspaper. The editor in chief told us about the newspapers' history and current action. The newspaper is a part of Middle Finland's consern. Also big newspapers such as Savon Sanomat are a part of this consern. Pieksämäen Lehti is released three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Thursday's paper is made on Wednesday, and Saturday's and Monday's paper on Friday. Pieksämäen lehti's layout has been made in Varkaus for ages, but for the last few years its has been made in Pieksämäki at their office. Nowadays the whole paper is made in Pieksämäki. They use a few applications such as Planner and NEO in their work. For example they plan the appearance of the paper and plan future articles. Here are a few pictures from the visit.
